UPDATES

FINAL UPDATE on this great cause: We heard from the director of this project with a touching update. Their goal was to gather 2000 pairs of shoes and they actually received 2500 pairs. More notably she shared that many of these shoes will end up in the Philippines to help those that fell victim to the devastation there. We are thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with Shoes for Souls – An Amazing Cause:Shoes4souls11.15.13

UPDATE ON PROGRESS – Wow, what an abundant response to this great cause. We received hundreds of shoes as you can see here:Shoes fo soles11.12.13

These donations will be given to those in need this winter. Thank you all for your participation!

As the year starts to wind to a close , we reflect on our blessings and how we can help  give back to the less privileged. We are taking part in a great program and will be donating used shoes through the Soles for Souls Program. Please consider going through your closet and donating any slightly work shoes that you do not need anymore.

Thanks in advance for partnering to give back to those who need it the most!

AGI Hospitality Recruiting 2012 Year End StatsWe knew we were doing a great job for our Job Seekers and Client Companies during 2012; but when we calculated the statistics of the actual growth we accomplished, we were even more pleased!  A small company with numbers like these demonstrates that we have made some huge impacts in the lives of many people!

We placed over 130 individual Professional Managers within the hospitality industry nationwide during 2012, which is an increase of 30% compared to 2011.  Placing two to three people every week is pretty amazing – especially to those whose lives have been changed for the better!

During 2012, we helped 29 corporate and franchise business partners in finding and retaining top talent for their management positions nationwide.  This was an increase of 52% compared to 2011.  We are very happy about this expansion!

Fifteen community-based charities were the benefactors of our tithing-philosophy philanthropy offerings this year.  These wonderful organizations are always hand-picked by our employees based on where their heart guides them to give.  For us, it’s a remarkable experience to know that the recipients have more opportunities for personal growth and potentials through these charities.  Giving back blesses everyone involved!

Our team at AGI Hospitality Recruiting looks forward to a great New Year ahead in 2013, and we certainly want to help as many people as we can again.  If you are a Job Seeker, we have job openings for you.  If you are a Hiring Manager at a hospitality-based company, we can help you find the top talent you need.  We are experts in connections that bring excellent results!

We can’t wait to hear from you!

Let’s begin helping you now!

Finding the Way Back

We barrow a wise quote from Sir Winston Churchill who said, “You make a living by what you get; but you make a life by what you give.” A brief biography Evidence about the goodness that comes from good people is all around us; but we wanted to focus on one particular place where we know this is true.

We met a humble young man named Kyle this week who told us, “You know, drug addicts are selfish people.  With me, it was all about me-myself-and-I all the time.  Let me say myself a few more times with that.  And I didn’t know it grabbed me so hard.  But this place is showing me that I can look past myself again and think about others in my life and not just me.”  Kyle’s former claim-to-fame was his life as a very successful university sports star; but drug abuse took over, and everything was over for him.

Kyle’s friend, Brandon, commented on his own journey when he said, “The hardest thing for me right now is remembering all of the people I hurt for my need for drugs.  I robbed them, I cheated them, and I am finding it very hard to forgive myself for all of that hurt I caused.  I’m writing letters to them to ask for forgiveness.  I have a lot of letters to write, but I’m healing.”

We mention this because we had a wonderful opportunity this week to share a Christmas Lunch with the City Gospel Mission in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 13th.  The gentlemen we met were absolutely inspirational to us, as they shared their personal stories about their discovery-and-recovery process of finding solutions to battle their overpowering drug addictions.  We plan to have lunch with them on a quarterly basis.  While we only met with the men in the program, City Gospel Mission also serves women.  Families in the community benefit from this charitable organization throughout the year, and CGM “graduates” can begin to positively contribute again to society.  These transformations are something that can bring happy tears to our eyes!  Goals and life-long dreams are awakening in these young men, and that is exciting!

Remarkable, isn’t it?  Remarkable because they are taking personal responsibility to journey through their individual darkness, and walking by the light of a small local organization that has a lot of big hearts to help them along a brighter and happier path!

Perhaps we can harshly judge the lifestyles of others and conclude that they have walked too far past a “point of no return” according to our own opinions; but we want to applaud professionals and volunteers everywhere who recognize the little glimmer of light that lingers deep behind the eyes of sorrow who only need someone to believe in them again.   It’s amazing that the biggest renewals of hope can be ignited from the smallest sparks from sincere kind gestures from a willing heart with helping hands.  The offering of a lift upward can help people move forward.  Our AGI team feels very blessed to be a part of their support, because doing so exemplifies our company’s three Core Values of integrity, relationship-focus, and humble service.  You can read more about our Core Values here.

Please take a moment and explore City Gospel Mission’s website and their Facebook page so you can see what we already know as being the gospel of Christ in action!

Note: We didn’t use the real names of Kyle and Brandon; but they really exist as hopeful young men who are happy to be part of the City Gospel Mission Program.

Helping the Hungry

Here at AGI Hospitality Recruiting, we give 10% of our earnings to various charitable causes each year.  We do this because we love people, and we know that there are those among us in our surrounding communities who fall short of life’s basic necessities that we easily take for granted.  Food, clothing, and shelter are staples that all humans need; but sometimes circumstances are not optimal for everyone during every phase of life.  Recipients are grateful that they are thought of, and they wish they had the means to reciprocate.  It’s good work to be engaged in, so we do it as part of our company’s identity and purpose.

We wanted to highlight a fundraiser we recently attended at Los Reyes Mexican Restaurant in Kettering, Ohio.  This one-day fundraiser was their 2nd annual event to give food and monetary support to those who go without so much every day.  We enjoyed meeting the Restaurant Owner, Jose Perez, at the  Los Reyes Fundraiser Event ; he is a very hard-working man with a large family and an extremely large heart!  Watch the VIDEO and see the good times and smiles that were shared!

The opportunity to help is still available — Online Donations are Accepted Here – We encourage individuals and businesses to consider what they can offer at this time.
